Emergency Phrases
Oss! Day 9. I hope you never need these. But if you do, they could save your trip.
助けてください
Means "Help me / please help." For real emergencies only. If you're hurt, lost in a dangerous spot, in trouble: You: 助けてください! Anyone nearby will respond immediately.
病院はどこですか?
Means "Where's the hospital?" You: すみません、病院はどこですか? Local: 大丈夫ですか?(Are you OK?) You: お腹が痛いです (My stomach hurts) / 頭が痛いです (My head hurts)
アレルギーがあります
Means "I have allergies." Show this at restaurants. Lifesaver. ピーナッツアレルギーがあります = "I'm allergic to peanuts." えびアレルギーがあります = "I'm allergic to shrimp." 日本では アレルギー表示 (allergy info) を見せてもらえます.
